Fire safety for all, life above all! Shenzhen YH South China Logistics Centre successfully conducted its fire drill in the second half of 2025Issuing time:2025-12-11 15:19
To further enhance fire safety awareness among all personnel within the logistics park, improve emergency response capabilities for sudden fire incidents, and strengthen self-rescue, mutual aid skills, and collaborative operational proficiency, thereby effectively safeguarding the lives and property of park personnel and maintaining stable operational order, a joint fire drill was successfully conducted at the Pinghu Base Park on the afternoon of 9 December. This exercise was organised by Shenzhen YH South China Logistics Centre in accordance with the annual safety work plan and relevant regulatory requirements. Fire Safety Drill As the fire alarm sounded, the simulated fire scenario swiftly unfolded, marking the commencement of the fire drill. A ‘fire incident’ broke out in a designated area of the warehouse. The site's volunteer fire brigade promptly activated the emergency response plan, organising initial firefighting efforts and personnel evacuation while simultaneously alerting the authorities. Upon receiving the alert, the professional fire brigade rapidly arrived at the scene. Command personnel from both teams swiftly coordinated, with the fire brigade executing specialised fire suppression and search-and-rescue operations. Through efficient collaboration, the ‘emergency’ was successfully managed. Fire detected, emergency response initiated

Through the concerted efforts of all personnel, the ‘fire’ was swiftly brought under control and extinguished. The evacuation team guided individuals to cover their mouths and noses with damp towels, evacuating in an orderly manner by bending low and moving through the stairwell to the safe zone; the medical team carried stretcher-bound casualties to safety; the firefighting team completed their operations, after which both the firefighting and support teams withdrew; the security team removed the cordoned-off area. Firefighting Equipment Practical Training Following the drill, officers from the local fire brigade delivered a comprehensive briefing to all park personnel on fire hazards, emergency call procedures, and evacuation protocols. They conducted live demonstrations and guided staff through the practical operation of common firefighting equipment, including dry powder extinguishers, fire hoses, and hydrants, ensuring key personnel mastered fundamental skills in ‘proper usage and operation.’ Through simulation we fortify defences, through practice we prepare for emergencies. By conducting fire emergency drills, we have further enhanced all staff members' fire safety awareness and their ability to respond to fire emergencies.
Fire Drill Summary Following the conclusion of the drill, the principal responsible officer for the premises delivered a summary of the fire drill exercise. They fully acknowledged the organisational efforts behind the drill, expressed gratitude for the professional guidance and efficient coordination provided by the fire brigade, and commended the positive attitude demonstrated by staff alongside their mastery of practical skills during the exercise. All components of this fire drill were successfully completed, largely achieving the intended objectives.
Regarding areas for improvement identified during the drill, specific measures and requirements were outlined. These included optimising response coordination in certain procedures and enhancing operational proficiency among some staff members. Management departments were directed to use this exercise as an opportunity to conduct comprehensive fire hazard inspections, refine emergency response plans, and institutionalise routine patrols and training to effectively fortify the park's fire safety defences.
This joint drill constituted a successful, practical training exercise that effectively enhanced the park's overall fire safety management standards and emergency response capabilities. Moving forward, the park management will refine contingency plans, intensify training, and conduct hazard inspections based on the drill evaluation results and the responsible officer's directives. This will continuously elevate all personnel's fire safety awareness and emergency response capabilities, providing robust safeguards for employee life and property security as well as the park's normal operations, thereby ensuring sustained stability in the park's fire safety situation.
